I always yell out an “Oh my gosh!” and then quickly look around because I’m pretty sure everybody saw me. {And why is it so much more pathetic when you’re by yourself?} After that, I put my chin up high and walked away like a boss, like nothing ever happened. Take that ground!

With people getting back from college and missions, the high school crew is getting back together! It feels so easy being with the people you've grown up with your whole life. I just wish we could all be care free forever so we could hang out all the time. Too bad we are all growing up and have to act like adults now {which is not cool if you ask me!} I knew things were back to the good ol' days when I got thrown in the pool fully clothed. Bring it on boys!

Tomato Basil Squares

This is one of my all-time favorite recipes! This especially tastes great in the summer with tomatoes fresh from the garden.

1 pkg (10 oz) refrigerated pizza crust

2 cups (8 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/4 cup (1 oz) Fresh Parmesan cheese, grated

2 Tbsp. fresh basil leaved, snipped (or 2 tsp dried)

2/3 cup mayonnaise

1 garlic clove, minced

4 plum tomatoes, thinly sliced

*Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Roll pizza crust on 12 x 15 baking pan. Sprinkle crust with 1 cup mozzarella cheese. In a bowl, combine remaining mozzarella, parmesan cheese, basil and mayonnaise. Mix well. Add garlic. Slice tomatoes. Arrange them in a single layer over mozzarella cheese. Place mozzarella cheese mixture over tomatoes. Spread to cover evenly. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve warm and enjoy!

I'm not cut out to be a farm girl

I am currently jobless. It's fun for about a week but then it gets pretty boring. The other day I had the opportunity to "pull weeds" at a farm that my good friends live at. When they called and asked if I wanted to help and earn some money I thought why not? I grabbed my weeding gloves and headed to the farm. I thought I would be casually pulling weeds and that I might get a little dirty. I knew I had gotten myself in a mess when they handed me a hoe and showed me the proper way to weed. I had to use all my strength to hack at the weeds that came up to my knees. Let's just say I didn't even make it an hour out there before I quit. Yes I quit. Call me a quitter. When I came home with my pants covered in dirt, my mom looked at me and said, "You're a city girl aren't you." She sure got that right.

School this semester was rough. I have never been so stressed in my life. But now it's over and I have a 7 week break to finally enjoy the summer. This is one of my favorite ways to dress up shorts for the summer. The white blazer is perfect for dressing up an outfit and taking it from day to night!
